I’ve got a moving crew coming this weekend and honestly… I have no idea how much I’m supposed to tip them. Is it like a flat amount? A percentage? I really don’t want to be rude or give too little, so if anyone’s got a clear guide or personal rule of thumb, I’d appreciate it.

Thanks so much for this! I’ve been feeling totally overwhelmed trying to figure out where to even start, and it’s great to hear you had a good experience.
I was in the exact same boat during my last move. I didn’t want to under-tip and seem cheap, but I also had no idea what the “normal” amount was. Some people told me $20 per mover, others said it should be based on the total hours or the difficulty of the job. Honestly, it got confusing fast. What helped me was finding this solid guide that breaks it all down really clearly — typical tip for movers. It covers everything from flat tips to how to adjust based on service quality or unexpected situations. After reading it, I felt way more confident, and the crew seemed genuinely happy with what I gave. Definitely worth checking out if you want to do it right without overthinking it too much.
